Job Description:
Safety Manager, ST. Louis, MO
Develops, implements, and reviews safety policies and procedures companywide.
Oversee and monitor safety programs and regulations, improve safety awareness programs to ensure a safe accident free work environment.
Investigate and document accidents using analytical and root cause analysis skills.
Responsible for inspecting the manufacturing facility and determining preventative or corrective measures where necessary and follows-up to ensure corrective measures have been implemented.
Provide guidance and leadership on safety issues in the plant.
Ensures regulatory compliance with local, state and federal laws.
Maintains OSHA log, written safety plans and training records.
Must have experience in leading and or implementation of Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) and safety cultural change process.
B.S in Safety Engineering or a related technical field
8-15 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with Lean and Six-Sigma methodologies
